Our first day in Iceland was cold, rainy and windy (to say the least!) Since the volcano hike we planned was out of the question, we headed to the nearby sea cliffs mentioned in the back of my bird book instead.
Ryan caught the moment I first spotted a puffin on video. Pure, unedited joy (sound on).
Later in our trip we saw loads of Atlantic puffins up close and without the freezing rain. But this first sighting will always be my favorite memory.
